A donation of funds has been made by a local restaurant chain to the Milton Fire Department!
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has granted $18,067.57 to Milton Fire and Rescue Services to procure new air lifting bags for use in rescue operations. The Paratech air bag lifting system will include bags, hoses, a master control kit, and accessories. This lifting tool is essential in situations where firefighters must lift heavy objects to remove accident victims who are trapped.
Milton Fire Chief Peter Gatto expressed his gratitude, stating, "We are extremely grateful to Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada and our local Firehouse Subs in Milton for providing us with this grant. We are so grateful to be given the tools needed to continue to keep the citizens of Milton safe and protected."
Since 2015, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada has awarded 306 grants to public safety organizations. The grant given to Milton Fire and Rescue Services is one of 22 grants distributed to public safety organizations during Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada's most recent grant cycle. These 22 grants will provide crucial lifesaving equipment valued at over $518,000 across Ontario.
