Alleged theft of $8,000 worth of copper in Milton under investigation by Halton police.


Halton police are investigating following the reported theft of around $8,000 worth of copper from a Milton business on Sunday, Oct. 2.

At some point between 10 p.m. and midnight, someone approached the Moffatt Scrap Iron and Metal facility at 9620 Guelph Line and cut a hole in the fence surrounding the property, police said.

The intruder reportedly removed various pieces of copper from a storage bin on the premises and tan fled the area.

The suspect is described as male, wearing a black vest.
