Big Mama’s and Papa’s Pizzeria, known for delivering the world’s largest pizza, has officially opened its first Ontario location in downtown Milton. The popular California-based brand chose Milton over bigger cities like Toronto for a reason.

“Milton loves pizza,” said owner Kamal Singh during the grand opening on Friday. He explained that Milton’s mix of small-town friendliness, rapid growth, and diverse community made it the perfect spot.

“When we opened, everyone came to congratulate us. That kind of support doesn’t happen in larger cities,” Singh added.

The menu offers more than just their famous giant pizzas. Customers can enjoy classic options like BBQ chicken, meat lovers, Hawaiian, and Margherita pizzas, along with a unique Canadian pizza featuring a maple syrup glaze. “It’s a very tasty pizza,” Singh said.

For those with big appetites or planning large gatherings, the pizzeria serves a massive 54-inch pizza, cutting into 200 square slices. They also offer a gondola-shaped pizza topped with an egg for something different.

Singh emphasized the importance of quality, from the carefully selected ingredients to the stone deck ovens. “Cooking on a stone deck takes skill and patience, but it results in a better pizza,” he said. Unlike many franchises that prioritize speed, Singh focuses on delivering a well-cooked product.

Since opening, the response from Milton residents has been overwhelmingly positive. “In our first week, we delivered a lot of pizzas and got great feedback. We’re still learning, but the community has been amazing,” Singh said, noting that customer service and cleanliness are his top priorities.

Local resident Meg shared her excitement about the new pizzeria. “It’s great to try something new, explore different flavors, and support local businesses,” she said after hearing about the pizzeria from a friend.

Big Mama’s and Papa’s is quickly becoming a new favorite for pizza lovers in Milton!
