Milton shines when we come together, especially for special events like the annual Milton Santa Claus Parade. This event unites us every year and represents our community spirit.
Recently, CN (Canadian National Railway) became a major sponsor of the parade, which raises concerns because many of us have opposed their proposed CN intermodal project for over a decade. This project threatens our town and the Halton region.
We’ve asked the parade organizers to return CN’s sponsorship, and the leaders at Milton Says No have offered to replace it. To keep the parade truly community-focused, we encourage the organizers to reconsider CN's involvement and to stand with most Milton residents in supporting our shared values.
If CN must stay as a sponsor, we want to match their sponsorship at the same level and be part of the parade. We invite community members and local businesses to join us in the parade.
We are also accepting donations to help cover the costs, as our directors are personally funding this effort.
Let’s make this year’s parade a true reflection of our community spirit.
Thank you, neighbors and friends.
Sincerely,
