More construction is coming to a major road in Milton, and lane closures will begin this fall.
The Town of Milton is preparing to continue the reconstruction of Ontario Street South next year, but first, they will temporarily close some lanes. The planned work includes:
A topographic survey
CCTV investigation of the existing storm sewers
Geotechnical investigation
This work will take place along Ontario Street South between Main Street and Derry Road. Residents in the area can expect survey crews on-site, who may need to access nearby properties. They will be checking surface features, measuring ground levels, and gathering legal survey information. The survey won’t involve entering any buildings. The information collected will help ensure that future improvements have minimal impact on your property. Please do not disturb or remove any stakes or markings that are put in place, as the Town's consultant will remove them when the work is done.
The project is expected to start in October and continue until November.
