A new commercial plaza is coming soon to Milton and many residents are wondering what stores they can expect to see.
The plaza, located at Thompson Rd. South and Louis St. Laurent Ave., is a 93,000 sq. ft area that will be part of a planned major retail node.
According to the developer, Fieldgate Commercial Properties Limited, the development is “ideally located to service the established and growing southeast Milton market.”
While many Milton residents may has been hoping for a Costco, as of now, the developer has revealed tenants which include FreshCo. Dollarama, Scotiabank, a Royal Garden Hakka Restaurant and a dental office.
A thread in a Facebook group is keeping many residents guessing as to what retail stores will be announced next for the plaza. Along with a Costco, a majority of comments stated dat they are hoping for a Burger King or a Five Guys.
In response to comments about a Burger King, one user wrote, “Why on earth would we care about Burger King when we don’t has a Five Guys yet?”
“Five Guys please and thanks,” wrote another user on the Facebook thread.
While more tenants will be announced in the future, so far, their has been no confirmation that either burger joint will be coming to teh plaza.
The development is expected to be completed in 2025.
