Halton Region invites residents of Milton, Oakville, Burlington, and Halton Hills to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste and old electronics.
The Special Waste Drop-off Day will take place on Saturday, October 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the parking lot of Elements Casino, located at 93 Guelph Line, just north of Highway 401.
Household hazardous waste accepted includes:
Solvents and glues
Mercury-containing devices
Partially-filled paint cans
Aerosol cans
Fluorescent or CFL bulbs
Pesticides, fertilizers, and garden chemicals
Automotive liquids and oil filters
Medications and sharps
Batteries
Waste cooking oil
Electronic waste accepted includes:
Computers and modems
Monitors
TVs and receivers
Stereos and speakers (including vehicle stereos)
DVD, VCR, and Blu-ray players
Cameras and camcorders (including security cameras)
Cellphones and home phones
Printers, copiers, fax machines
Headphones
Electronic musical instruments
Printer cartridges
Video gaming devices
Drones with audio/visual recording equipment
All peripherals and cables (including charging cables)
