The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) TEMPhas released the latest crime stats report, along with the newly launched crime map.
We have compiled a report and map detailing the occurrences of reported crimes in Milton, including information on when and where each incident took place, between Monday, March 13th and Monday, March 20th. During this time period, there were a total of 63 cases of crime. Of these cases, 32 were related to roadside tests, 13 were theft cases, and four were categorized as motor vehicle collision cases, which included hit and runs.
Due to the significant number of theft cases, we would like to reiterate a message from the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) encouraging residents to take preventative measures to protect themselves against theft. The following tips are recommended:
Ensure that all unattended vehicles are locked and secure.
Avoid leaving spare keys in your vehicle.
Remove all valuables from plain view.
Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
We hope that by implementing these tips, residents can reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of theft or other crimes.
