Man tries to steal from hardware store, ends up stealing car.

An unknown man tried to steal from a local hardware store, and eventually ended up with a motor vehicle that he didn’t own.

On Thursday, November 10th, the suspect attended a Home Depot in Burlington and attempted to steal two shopping carts full of store merchandise. When confronted by security, the suspect fled the store and stole a motor vehicle from the parking lot.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) describes the man as:

• wearing a blue, red and white track suite, white shoes and a blue hat.
