The Town of Milton has declared a Significant Weather Event due to ongoing heavy snowfall. Residents are advised to travel with caution as snow-clearing efforts will take longer than usual.
Current Snowfall & Cleanup Efforts
📌 Snowfall Amounts: Since Feb. 12, 25-30 cm of snow has fallen, with another 30 cm expected between Saturday (Feb. 15) and Monday (Feb. 17).📌 Roads & Sidewalks: Snowplows are actively clearing main and secondary roads, as well as sidewalks.📌 Residential Areas: Crews are working in subdivisions and will continue clearing overnight.📌 Challenges: Limited snow storage space will make cleanup more difficult with the upcoming snowfall.
Important Information for Residents
✅ Be Patient: Snow clearing will continue into next week due to the heavy accumulation.✅ Driveway Snow Buildup (Windrows): These happen naturally during plowing. Homeowners are responsible for clearing them, except for those registered in the Town’s windrow removal program, which will begin after subdivision cleanup.✅ Transit Updates: Bus stops and walkways are being cleared. Transit services were delayed but returned to normal by 10 a.m. Some minor delays may still occur.
