Milton just got money from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).
They get this four times a year because they host Elements Casino Mohawk. This time, they got $1,386,976. It's the third payment of the year, and now they've got $5,994,643 in total for this year. Since the casino started in August 1999, Milton has got a total of $141,130,613.
These payments depend on a formula used for all gaming sites in Ontario. It looks at how much money the casino makes. Milton uses some of this money for the Milton Community Fund Program.
Since 1994, host communities like Milton have got more than $2 billion in non-tax gaming money.
