Milton Home Targeted in Attempted Break-In, Door Damaged

A Milton residence sustained damage during an attempted daytime break-in on Wednesday, February 12, though no actual entry was made.

According to Halton police media relations officer Jeff Dillon, the incident took place between noon and 3 p.m. on Hinton Terrace while the homeowners were away. The front door was visibly damaged, but the suspect(s) failed to gain access to the home.

At this time, there is no available suspect description, and authorities are urging residents in the area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4777 or provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online.

Police are reminding the public to remain vigilant, secure all entry points, and report any unusual behavior in their neighborhoods.
