A 31-year-old Milton man is facing several charges after a series of incidents unfolded early Saturday morning.
Halton Regional Police were first called to the scene of a single-vehicle collision at Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Trudeau Drive on November 16, around 6:25 a.m. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, officers charged the driver with impaired operation and refusal to comply with demand.
During the investigation, police discovered the same individual had been involved in an earlier collision at Fourth Line and Clark Boulevard. According to police, the man’s vehicle had struck and damaged traffic signs, and he fled the scene without reporting the incident. As a result, he now faces an additional charge of failing to stop after an accident.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident. Authorities emphasized the importance of reporting accidents and the dangers of impaired driving, reminding the public of their role in keeping the roads safe.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. It is important to note that all charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
Police continue to encourage anyone who witnesses impaired driving to call 911 immediately.
