The Milton Public Library (MPL) is updating its Public Code of Conduct policy.
Starting Tuesday, August 6th, patrons can enjoy drinks and snacks in most library areas, except at computer stations and Silent Study rooms. However, meals like burgers, fries, and pizza are not allowed. Patrons are asked to keep the library clean by throwing away their trash.
Everyone must wear appropriate attire, including shirts and shoes. Sports equipment is not allowed inside the library.
To consider patrons with allergies or sensitivities, the library asks visitors to avoid wearing strong perfumes and body scents.
Photographing, filming, or video recording of library staff and users is not allowed without prior written approval. Commercial filming and photography also require prior approval from the CEO, Sarah Douglas-Murray.
