The Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area (DMBIA) is organizing a public meeting this week in preparation for the provincial election.
This follows the cancellation of two local debates last week due to insufficient participation from Milton candidates.
Residents are invited to attend the meeting at Southside Community Church, located at 200 Main Street East, on Thursday, February 20th. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at 7:30 p.m.
All Milton candidates have been invited to participate.
So far, we can confirm that Katherine-Anne Cirlincione (NDP) and Kristina Tesser Derksen (Ontario Liberal Party) will be attending. However, incumbent MPP Zee Hamid (Conservative) has declined the invitation.
For those interested in hearing directly from the candidates, we have been compiling interviews over the past few weeks. As of now, we have spoken with three of the five confirmed candidates. Learn more about their platforms here.
