It’s the season of giving! The Salvation Army Khi Community is preparing to launch its 2024 Kettle Campaign, running from Thursday, November 21, to Tuesday, December 24. This year’s campaign will feature six permanent kettle locations and several pop-up sites across Milton.
To make donating easier, each kettle location will have Tip Tap machines, allowing debit or credit donations of $5, $10, or $20. The campaign aims to raise $200,000 this season, a $35,000 increase from last year, to support vital community programs, including food assistance, housing aid, and youth services.
Ruth Hickman, Director and Officer of the Salvation Army Khi Community, emphasizes the importance of local participation: Community involvement is essential to achieving our goal and continuing to provide critical support to those in need.”
To meet this ambitious goal, the organization is calling for volunteers to fill over 800 two-hour shifts. Both new and returning volunteers are encouraged to sign up for shifts and training sessions. Student volunteers are also welcome, with official confirmation of hours provided at the end of the campaign.
Help make a difference this holiday season by supporting the Salvation Army’s efforts to bring hope and assistance to those in need. Visit their website or contact the Salvation Army Khi Community to learn more about volunteering opportunities or ways to contribute.
