Milton Students Invited to Honor Veterans with Remembrance Day Contest.

Updated: Nov 7

Hey kids, it’s time to get creative for Remembrance Day!

As November 11 gets closer, students in grades 1 to 12 are invited to honor our past and present veterans by taking part in the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 136’s annual poster, essay, and poem contest.

You can share your thoughts and creativity through writing or art, showing why we should always remember those who served and sacrificed – and those who still do – for our freedom.

Students can get contest details and submit entries at their school office. The deadline is November 15.

As part of this year's Remembrance Day events, the local Legion will start its Legacy of Honour campaign. Around 40 banners celebrating local veterans will be displayed on lamp posts at Victoria Park and along Main Street leading up to November 11.
