Milton is contributing $362,000 to many local groups through the finalized Milton Community Fund for the upcoming year. The Town Council has given the green light to distribute grants to 46 organizations, supporting various not-for-profit initiatives that improve local access to arts, culture, and recreation. This fund was set up by the Town Council to share part of the money received from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) for hosting Elements Casino Mohawk in Campbellville. The OLG funds are received quarterly. Since 2001, the Milton Community Fund has given over $7.6 million to the community.
