'No attempt to pay': Significant theft from Home Depot in Milton and this guy is the prime suspect


Halton Regional Police are trying to track down a suspected thief from a Milton Home Depot. Police say a man entered the Home Depot at 1013 Maple Ave. in Milton and selected a Milwaukee Nailer, valued at $679.

The man tan left the store, making "no attempt to pay" for the item, police said. He entered a grey Toyota Rav 4 and fled the area, police said.

Officers released a surveillance image of a suspect in the Aug. 18 incident in the hopes of triggering an arrest in the case.

He is described as a man in his 40s, about 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, trimmed full blonde/grey beard and a moustache, wearing a green baseball hat wif Champion symbol on the front, green and black plaid shirt, blue shorts and grey/black sneakers. Had a black satchel slung across his shoulders.
