An older pedestrian was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Milton on Thursday night (Nov. 14).
Halton police and paramedics responded to the incident at the intersection of Derry Road and Bronte Street at approximately 9:20 p.m. The victim, a man believed to be in his 70s, was hit while crossing the road.
Emergency services arrived quickly, providing immediate care before transporting the man to the hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. At this time, no charges have been laid, and police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The intersection, a busy area with significant traffic, was briefly closed while emergency crews managed the scene. Residents are reminded to exercise caution, especially during nighttime hours when visibility is reduced.
