Police have shut down a “chop shop” in rural Milton for the third time.
On January 19, Halton police started an investigation after finding a stolen vehicle at Khan Traders, located at 4446 Trafalgar Rd., near Highway 407 and Sixth Line. The vehicle had been reported stolen from Toronto in 2024.
Police later searched the location and said Khan Traders was running an illegal chop shop.
On January 31, officers searched a home in Brampton and arrested 26-year-old Haider Ameer Khan. He was charged with three counts of possessing stolen property and two counts of violating a release order.
Police say Khan is a repeat offender and was already on a release order for similar crimes.
In July 2024, Khan and two others were arrested at the same Milton address, where police found 12 stolen cars in different stages of being taken apart.
According to police, 4446 Trafalgar Rd. has been investigated three times in the past 18 months for the same illegal activity.
