Police in Guelph claim to have found a stolen car that was packed with ammunition. They are now trying to find out if anyone in Milton or the rest of Halton Region is the owner.
The grey Ford F-150 pickup with attached stolen license plates was discovered by an officer on patrol in a neighbourhood on Monday, Dec. 5, according to Guelph Police.
According to eyewitness accounts, a man in his 40s or 50s with a thin build and a white beard earlier in the day left the pickup at the scene.
Further investigation revealed that the truck had been taken last month from the Halton Region. During the inspection of the truck, a sizable quantity of ammunition was discovered.
According to data supplied by Halton Regional Police, 163 vehicles were stolen in Halton during November, 37 were taken in Milton.
