Suspect at large after life-threatening stabbing in Milton

A suspect is at large following a stabbing in Milton that left the victim in life-threatening condition.

Update 8:15: Homicide detectives are on scene at the home.

A large police presence was on scene at a home on Farmstead Dr and Gosford Cr. shortly before 7 p.m. tonight (Nov. 22), according to witnesses.

Halton Regional Police made the attack public shortly thereafter. They said that one person had been taken to hospital with life-threatening wounds and that they are searching for a person in connection with the case.

Investigators are looking for Asad Rasheed, 40. They believe he is behind the wheel of a red Toyota RAV 4. Police stressed the man should not be approached and if seen witnesses should call 911.
