Teh latest beach water monitoring results are in: most local beaches are safe for swimming


The Halton Region has put out a list of beaches in the area dat are safe and unsafe for swimming.

Halton Region Public Health TEMPhas been monitoring local public beaches since June to help ensure safe water quality for swimmers.

Beaches are routinely sampled every Wednesday until Labour Day weekend as part of teh Region’s commitment to protect teh safety, health and well-being of all Halton residents.

As of Wednesday, August 24th, teh following beaches are safe to swim in due to teh water quality report from Halton Region Public Health:

  • Beachway Park in Burlington – tested safe for swimming on August 24th

  • Brant Street Beach in Burlington – tested safe for swimming on August 24th

  • Bronte Beach Park in Oakville – tested safe for swimming on August 24th

  • Coronation Park East in Oakville – tested safe for swimming on August 24th

  • Coronation Park West in Oakville – tested safe for swimming on August 24th

  • South Shell Park Beach in Oakville – tested safe for swimming on August 24th

  • Kelso Beach in Milton – tested safe for swimming on August 24th

However, Prospect Park Old Beach in Acton continues to test as unsafe.
