Two Milton councillors, Adil Khalqi and Sameera Ali, are joining forces with the Halton police to combat the recent wave of car thefts in the town. They will be hosting a public meeting to raise awareness and provide tips to local car owners.
During the meeting, attendees will be given advice on various measures they can take to protect their vehicles, such as parking in a locked or secured garage whenever possible, using a steering wheel lock to deter theft, and placing their key fob inside a radio frequency shielding bag when not in use. Additionally, investing in an after-market GPS tracker is another option to help recover a stolen vehicle.
The meeting will take place on Saturday, March 4th from 5-7pm in the Optimist Room of the Milton Sports Centre located at 605 Santa Maria Blvd.
