"Winter lit" Returns to Milton Conservation Area: A Magical Seasonal Experience

Conservation Halton is bringing back its popular winter event, Winterlit! Starting Sunday, December 29th, visitors can enjoy magical evenings at Mountsberg Conservation Area.

Winter lit features two illuminated trails, the Sugar Bush and Winter lit trails, filled with sustainable art installations, cozy fireside lounges, and photo spots for capturing special moments. The art pieces are made from upcycled materials, including ash tree wood affected by the Emerald Ash Borer beetle, and are lit with energy-efficient LED lights.

Guests can also enjoy these activities during their visit:

  • Book Nook Cabin: Exchange books, play board games, and relax.

  • The Den: Learn about Mountsberg’s resident animals.

  • Heart Painting: Paint a wooden heart to support the Animal Care Fund.

  • Souvenirs: Take home a branded wood keepsake.

  • Discover Owls Experience (Fridays only, extra fee): Meet one of Mounts Berg's raptors.

  • Star Walks (Saturdays only, extra fee): Guided tours to explore the night sky.

  • Beeswax Candle Making (Sundays only, extra fee): Make a candle to take home.

Winter lit runs from December 29th to January 7th (except January 2) and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from January 12th to February 17th. The event takes place at Mountsberg Conservation Area, 2259 Milburough Town Line, Campbellville.

For something extra special, Enchanted Evenings on December 31st (New Year’s Eve) and February 14th (Valentine’s Day) include live music, magic acts, roaming performers, and candle-making activities. Don’t miss out on this magical winter tradition!

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here.
